Actually, although I haven't done it much like you have, I did sort of take a chopping block approach to my life for the next few years. Right now I have exactly one book a year under contract. I'll probably end up with two, but I've got to be religious about not taking on more than can feasibly be accomplished in 1K a day, because there's absolutely no guarantee I'm going to be able to /do/ more than that. So while I have a number of projects I'd like to tackle, the stuff under contract is going to remain rigidly limited.
